Weekly Nibble: Celebrate July 4th in Miami

Ok, so July 4th is not really a holiday for food...unless that includes the traditional backyard BBQ or hamburgers and hotdogs.  Fireworks at Bayfront Park and on Miami Beach and throughout the Miami-Dade area are the biggest draw, but here are a few more fun happenings at some of our favorite restaurants and hot spots.

Thompson Miami Beach is celebrating the 4th of July with a poolside Dirty BBQ, from 12 to 7 pm. The party will feature a slew of social drinking games (giant Jenga, ping pong...or beer pong), fun floats, and of course finger foods with a Thompson twist, including signature TALDE items (think their famous Kung Pao Chicken Wings and Korean Fried Chicken), gourmet burgers and KOBE beef franks with all the fixin’s. Cocktail and beer specials will be offered, as well as their $5 valet for non-guests who eat and drink on property.  Thompson Miami Beach  4041 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140 786 605 4041.

The Federal Miami - notorious for their biskits - is offering an all American style BBQ and boozy brunch on Saturday July 4th, to satisfy all cravings for red, white, and blue. Stand out dishes include:  Uni Croissant – sea urchin, chives, sea salt, and butter. BBQ'd Deviled Eggs - smoked pulled pork shoulder, pickled serrano, and creamy horseradish. With visually appealing and colorful cocktails, guests can indulge in festive bottomless mimosas, tropical bellinis, mojitos, Michelada, and Pabst Blue Ribbon Tallboys for $19.
