Saturday Sweets: Federal Donuts(CLOSED)Celebrates Bourbon Month and Donates to Houston Relief
September is National Bourbon Heritage Month. In celebration of some of our favorite spots are celebrating by making special menu items or tweaking current recipes that we already know and love on their menus.
This week we are featuring Wynwood’s Federal Donuts and their partnership with Maker’s Mark, launched a new fancy donut in all five Philadelphia and Miami stores to celebrate National Bourbon Heritage Month. The Peanut Caramel Apple donut was co-created with Maker’s Mark – delicious on it’s own but even better when paired with Maker’s Mark bourbon.
The Peanut Caramel Apple fancy donut is made with FedNuts’ signature cake donut with a fresh apple glaze, caramel drizzle, and toasted crushed peanuts.
Making this donut even sweeter, Federal Donuts will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Peanut Caramel Apple fancy to the Houston Food Bank this Labor Day weekend – Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4.
What’s more, Maker’s Mark will match Federal Donuts’ donation dollar for dollar.
