SOBEWFF 2015 Wraps up

Just a sampling of some of the fun events during SOBEWFF 2015!

The Final Day of SOBEWFF, Brunch seemed to be a theme as no less that three brunches were offered.

Farm to Table Brunch- hosted by the always best- dressed Geoffrey Zakarian and Chef Julie Frans at Essensia Restaurant in The Palms Hotel.  Julie's Herb Garden and local produce and fruit purveyors all played a part in this refreshing take on brunch.  Participating chef "friends" included Marc Murphy, MarK Zeltouni , Mike Cooperman, Chris Becker, and Chris Cosentino. Dishes included Chef Julie's Kale and Strawberry Caesar Salad, Mark Zeitouni's, Key West Shrimp , Deconstructed Key Lime Pie from Tru Tru Cakes and plenty of American Harvest vodka and Trump Rose.

Southern Kitchen Brunch- Host by Trisha Yearwood, two-time New York Times Bestselling cookbook author and host of the Emmy Award-winning Food Network series Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,  featured a buffet of all kinds of southern breakfast and brunch treats, Tito's Vodka and Amstel

Swine and Wine- Was a Porktastic event hosted by Michelin star chef, Marc Forgione with an all star cast of caja china pig roasting chefs at The Biltmore in Coral Gables. The pork competition was judged by Goya Foods with Miami's Cindy Hutson from Ortanique literally bringing home the bacon as winner with her root-beer brined roasted pig.

Grand Tasting Village- SOBEWFF would not be complete without a visit to the Grand Tasting Village at 13th on the beach. A whole day could be spent here, with chef demo's , book signings, over 30 restaurant tastings and plenty of wine, beer, tequila, vodka and sake and spirits. This year we were pleasantly surprised by how many great, high quality wines and spirits were present! The lines were not long and the Hard Rock tent was definitely the place to be!
