Weekly Nibble: Wynwood Brewing Block Party, OMG at O Cinema, Sunday Rum Day, Panini's at Dolce, and Wynwood Diner opens.

Welcome to the "dog days of summer". Sultry, sticky, hot and humid.  I know, you don't feel like doing much except stay in air conditioning, go to beach or sit at a pool.  This week's Weekly Nibble may just get you out the door...for a movie, a cocktail or to check out a block party or new diner in Wynwood.

Saturday August 15th- To celebrate two years of Miami’s own craft beer, Wynwood Brewing Company will once again take over the streets for a second-anniversary block party celebrating the August 24 release of bottles of two of its most popular beers, La Rubia and Pop’s Porter. WBC’s block party will kick off from noon to 11 pm with plenty of food, music, art, and, of course, beer. Multiple local food trucks and graffiti artist Insano also will add to the festivities. Sunday August 16th- It’s National Rum Day, so grab a friend or two and head out to enjoy some rum drinks at any of the local Miami cocktail haunts like; Broken Shaker, The Rum Line, Repour, and Regent Cocktail Club. Regent’s Rum celebratory drink, Queens Park Swizzle, is created by Managing Partner and award-winning mixologist Julio Cabrera, and is made with a rum of your choice, Lime Sugar, Angostura Bitters, Mint, and crushed ice.  In honor of last month’s popular Rum Dinner at Sugarcane Raw Bar featuring Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum, stop by for the Summer Sparkler with watermelon juice or Tobacco Old Fashioned with maple syrup.  MO Miami’s Bar and Lounge is featuring their Cuban Old Fashioned with smoked rum, house coffee bitters, orange peel and simple syrup.

Throughout August- Dolce Italian- LDV Hospitality’s Dolce Italian, located in the Gale South Beach, is celebrating National Panini Month with their famous Dolce Panini’s.
