What I ATE: MIAbites Contributors Best Bites

If you follow any of our MIAbites Contributors on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, you are constantly bombarded with some pretty amazing pictures of food and drink that has been consumed, it seems almost endlessly.  Click on their names to see their personal Instagram feeds but be forewarned…it may make you very hungry.

How can anyone eat and drink ALL that food and go to ALL those places?

Well Our Contributors do, from evenings out with friends, to lunches at favorite classic spots, to events hosted by restaurants, fellow bloggers and spirit purveyors.  It is hard to keep up and so as a special MIAbites feature we bring you...

WHAT I ATE...

Feast your eyes:

Amber Love Bond

Sometimes I wake up and want brunch and sometimes I wake up and want Pinch Kitchen's brunch! The Egg in a Basket is always my go to. It's a homemade potato bowl filled with egg and potato foam, served with a tiny mountain of speck and whole wheat toast. All seemingly simple elements but when put together it's perfection! I may also be slightly allergic to one of the spices used with the speck but it's just so good that I continued to suffer through the itching over and over again.

Secret menu item at Hillstone Coral Gables !  They can make a "cuban" style version of their famous french dip by adding cheese and pressing it. Who knew? Even old classic favorites can sometimes surprise you.

It's funny how the simplest of ideas can wow a table. Our friends live in Morningside and after we raved about Pinch Kitchen, we offered to meet them for dinner one night. While the regular menu at Pinch Kitchen is full of great dishes, I look forward to their specials. This week's specials included kimchee guacamole. Who knew that the marriage of guacamole and kimchee would be such a winning combination?  Everyone at our table angled for the last bite. So good!!!!  Like I said, it's the simple things....done well.

The Coffee Paolo pizza at Visa-01 which has real coffee on it along with hot salami, Gorgonzola and wild honey.  And now Visa-01 has two locations!  Miami Beach and Brickell. Their signature Star Luca Pizza is also a treat not to be missed.

Marian Bacol-Uba

Warm Baked Brie from Perricone's in Brickell. It's TO DIE FOR!!! Best baked Brie in Miami. Enough to share and a great appetizer for the table.

Diana Rodriguez

Always a wonderful comfort food choice is the Asado de Res with onions and avocado slices from Mr. and Mrs. Bun!
