I'm obsessed with Bachour Bakery! It's a new bakery and cafe that just opened in 600 Brickell by famed pastry chef Antonio Bachour, and not only features his amazing pastry and cake creations, but delicious lunch options.  Totally obsessed.

I have to say that my favorite food from this past month has to be the short rib hash from Trust & Co. In Coral Gables. The freshest farm egg I have ever had in the US. Simply delicious. All ingredients locally grown and farmed. You can honestly say from "Farm to Table" .

I stumbled into Bocce last weekend to have a glass of wine and couldn't resist ordering the eggplant parmesan. This is one of my favorite southern Italian dishes so if it's on a menu I'm ordering it! Although it's listed under the appetizer section it was easily enough for a light dinner or lunch entree. The eggplant was in thin ribbons, not breaded and it was, surprisingly, a very light dish. There weren't gobs of mozzarella and the tomato sauce was so good. So far this ranks as the best eggplant parmesan that I've found in Miami and I'll definitely be back for more sometime soon.

The Best Pho in Broward finally opened in Miami-Dade  I have been waiting a year for Basilic Vietnamese to open in North Miami  and it finally did last week. A menu of over 100 authentic Vietnamese dishes but Pho is the star and the Oxtail a must for Foodies .The Basilic flavors with the Egg noodles was worth the trip to Fort Lauderdale or Boca Raton but now in North Miami , I am a regular.

I just HAD to offer TWO Best Bites this time. First is the best salad I've had in years... The heirloom tomato salad at The Seven Dials. I can't even explain how good this was. The owners of The Seven Dials have a special relationship with a farmer that grows just enough special tomatoes for them. And me. And you if you stop by.

I had the chance to stop by Alter this month and try some of the new items on their lunch menu. This is my favorite restaurant in my favorite neighborhood in Miami. You simply must experience the brilliance of Chef Brad Kilgore on display in dishes like this smoked scallops with sunchoke puree, "everything" spice, sunflower miso and preserved lemons.

I finally made it to PINCH in Little River for dinner. Everything was as delicious as expected but the Orange Chocolate Soufflé with Creme Anglaise knocked my socks off and had me begging for more! The soufflé is baked inside of a hollowed out orange giving every chocolatey bite that perfect hint of citrus.

The best thing I ate was a my #vicequeenkitchen homemade dairy-free stuffed omelette for Easter Sunday brunch. A perfectly cooked omelette filled with a spicy bell pepper and potato hash, seasoned with ground cumin, cayenne pepper as well as fresh parsley and chives from the garden.
