November seems to be shaping up to be Miami Food Festival month…and this week’s WeeklyNibble highlights the first couple to hit the calendar, plus some other food happenings in and around town.  Fasten your seatbelts (or let out your belts), as it’s going to be a fun month!  Details are subject to change so please confirm all specific prices and dates ahead of time.

Wednesday, November 1st- Sunday, November 5th-  Boasting 200+ exhibitors, 10,000+ attendees, 40 + Celebrity Plant Based Chefs, 30 + VEGAN Experts, Athletes, Authors and Celebrities, Seed Food and Wine Wynwood & Miami Beach, is the premiere plant-based food and wine festival in the country.  A week-long adventure, to sip, savor and experience conscious, sustainable plant-based living. Friday, November 3rd-  The LUCKYRICE Feast returns to Miami to help raise money for Hurricane Irma relief efforts through a massive culinary showcase at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. With the help of more than 20 of the city’s hottest Asian and Asian-inspired restaurants and bars, LUCKYRICE will donate the night’s proceeds to their charitable partner, Feeding South Florida, and their presenting sponsor, Suntory Whisky, will match all proceeds in an additional donation. Pao by Paul Qi, Hakkasan, Katsuya, and Etaru are a few of the night’s participating vendors. Saturday November 4thMagic City Casino, Miami’s first casino to feature Las Vegas style slot machines, hosts the 2nd annual Wiener Bash, presented in partnership with Burger Beast, on Saturday, November 4th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wiener Bash is a celebration of grill-worthy meats with an extra helping of hair metal. 18 South Florida restaurants and food trucks, including Arbetter's, Pincho Factory, and all the way from Michigan, Dog 'n Suds, will showcase their takes on tasty cylindrical meats while Great White and Vince Neil of Motley Crue sing their classic hits onstage. Wiener-lovers can enjoy a bottomless sampling of hot dogs, sausages and desserts. Magic City Casino is located at 450 NW 37th Avenue in Miami. Parking is free, with valet parking available. Sunday, November 5th-In celebration of its two year anniversary, Pinch Kitchen is kicking off a month-long celebration with a Bottomless Bubbles Brunch hosted by local Miami food bloggers, Dianne Rubin and Geoffrey Anderson of Miami Food Pug. The Bottomless Bubbles Brunch, sponsored by Zonin USA, will take place on Sunday, November 5th will include a four-course family style brunch featuring some of Pinch’s classic brunch items along with two hours of unlimited bubbles. There will be three seatings available for the brunch: 10AM, 12:30PM, and 3PM.  The cost of the Bottomless Bubbles Brunch is $45 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity. A portion of proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit the Born Free Pet Shelter, a local no-kill animal shelter. The Bottomless Bubbles Brunch is for guests 21 and over. Lightkeepers located at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami is welcoming the fall season with a revamped daily Happy Hour series. The casually elegant restaurant and bar is offering new daily specials from 5-7 daily and additional themed Happy Hours from 5-10 pm throughout the week. Guests can kick back Oceanside and sip on refreshing libations by the restaurant's talented bar crew, while enjoying bites by Executive Chef Raul A. Del Pozo. November 9- 14- Taste of sbe- Inaugural food event hosted by Chefs Michael Schwartz and Jose Andres to benefit World Central Kitchen’s ongoing relief efforts in Puerto Rico.  Chef Andres has been in Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria hit and has served up over 1.0 million meals throughout the island. Thursday, November 16th- The March of Dimes hosts its “Signature Chefs Auction” event at the Hyatt Regency Miami. 2017 marks the 20th Anniversary of this premier event. The three hour evening features the best of the best in dining with Chefs from our top dining establishments serving tastes of their favorite dishes. The gourmet sampling and silent auction are followed by a seated dessert and live auction where guests can bid on unique packages featuring exclusive dining experiences, travel and more.Donations support the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Thursday, November 16th- Miami Book Fair (November 12-19) and Slow Food Miami team up to excite your senses with Booking the Cooks with food, drinks, and celebrity chef demos to kick off this year’s weekend-long festival. At this exclusive VIP reception, guests will savor tastes that are created by local, farm-to-table chefs, just as they appear in their cookbooks. Tickets for this event are $60 and will be required for admission. Saturday, November 18thP.I.G.8 (Pork is Good)- Chef Jeremiah hosts the 8th year of the daylong celebration of all things Pork, craft beer, cocktails, artisanal products and other mouth-watering dishes created by South Florida’s most exciting culinary talent.
