Burger Beast’s Hamburger House Party

Are you ready for a Hamburger Party? Burger Beast Feasts presents Hamburger House Party Saturday, April 6th, 2019 from 7:15 (6:30PM for V.I.P.) – 10PM underneath the grandstand at Magic City Casino.The Best Burger & Hot Dog/Sausage Restaurants are chosen by Burger Beast and will be competing for your vote to be crowned the Best of the Best. Wiener Bash competition is now part of Hamburger House Party.All attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Phuc Yea! to host monthly crawfish boil

Cheeky hotspot Phuc Yea is back with a new monthly Crawfish Boil party on Thursday, April 4. Prepare to suck and pinch some tasty crawfish head and tail.

Featuring FREE admission and party beats, attendees will enjoy Live Crawfish by the Pound (MP) served with andouille sausage, corn, potatoes and chili cajun butter; Grilled Oysters on the Halfshell ($15 for ½ dozen) with lemongrass garlic butter and bread crumbs; and Jumbo Local Shrimp Cocktail($15 for ½ dozen) with bourbon cocktail sauce and sriracha remoulade. Add a boozy flair with buckets of beer and cocktails all on happy hour pricing till 8pm on Phuc Yea’s newly minted cocktail menu served tiki-style.

M House raises money for Venezuela

M House, the coastal European eatery in the heart of downtown Coral Gables is partnering with international non-profit organization Programa de Ayuda Humanitaria Para Venezuela to host a special ‘United for Venezuela’ fundraiser on Thursday, April 4, 2019.  A portion of all food and beverage sales of that day will be earmarked for the foundation, which is providing scarce resources and supplies to inhabitants located in the country’s most affected areas.

The restaurant’s owners and Executive Chef Abraham Silva are Venezuelan; they felt compelled to raise awareness and support the community. Says Silva, “We hope to generate funds to provide necessary food, medicine and other essentials to help alleviate the suffering of our compatriots during this terrible humanitarian crisis.” M House will kick off the initiative at lunch and it will run all day and night, in both the dining room and the bar/lounge.

Three Wynwood burger at the bar series

The monthly burger at the bar series continues in April with Miami-based wellness blogger, Kruti Shah. To celebrate Earth Month, Kruti has created the ultimate vegetarian burger and “milkshake.”

Kruti’s burger will feature a vegetable patty with guacamole and heirloom tomatoes served on a focaccia bun. The dish ($25) will be accompanied by natural fries and a vegan lychee-coconut “milkshake” with coconut flakes and lime zest.

Kruti’s passion for health and wellness began in high school when she discovered how food can nourish your body and mind.  Kruti follows a plant-based diet, using whole foods and minimally processed ingredients because, “It’s what makes me feel good!” Through her blog (cultivatewithkruti.com), her goal is to help inspire others to start preparing meals that nourish the body, mind and soul.

Bodega One Last Dance tacos to honor Dwayne Wade

As we all know, Dwyane Wade will be bidding farewell to the Magic City and Miami Heat and to send him off, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila has created a special taco in his honor. Appropriately named One Last Dance, the taco is filled with Fried Chicken, Crispy Smashed Potato, Miami Heat Sauce, Miami Vice Slaw and Cilantro. The special taco will be available for Wade’s remaining home games on April 3rd and 9th at the American Airlines Arena and daily at the Bodega South Beach location from April 3 through April 9.

Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Dinner at Council Oak

Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at the AAA Four Diamond-rated Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood will host its highly coveted Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Dinner on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. A welcome reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with passed hors d’oeuvres and a specialty cocktail, followed by a four-course dinner prepared by Council Oak’s culinary team at 7 p.m. Hosted by Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Pappy Van Winkle Ambassador Randy Palmer, dinner will be paired with a Pappy Van Winkle flight featuring pours of 12-year, 15-year, 20-year and 23-year reserves. Pappy Van Winkle is one of the most sought-after bourbons in the country, as the distillery only releases approximately 7,000 cases a year. The dinner is priced at $450 per person (excluding tax and gratuity).
