There are Plenty of Fish at MyCeviche Midtown

MyCeviche opens in Midtown Miami

The newest outpost of Chef Sam Gorenstein and Roger Duarte’s fast casual seafood spot, MyCeviche in The Shops in Midtown, is also it’s largest with the most extensive menu of ceviche bowls, salads, tacos, burritos, Poke and fresh sides

Strictly by accident, I happened to stop in on the very first day the doors were open during their Art Basel Pop Up and got to see Sam in action behind the counter teaching and watching his eager staff assemble the poke bowls, salads, burritos and ceviches.

A clean bright spot, with the signature hi top communal tables, creative murals and plenty of add in salsitas and fresh cut lime wedges, MyCeviche Midtown offers healthy options for the lunchtime shopping crowd and the midtown residents looking for alternatives to wings and burgers.

Key menu items include; The Signature Ceviche, available in medium and large with fresh fish, shrimp and octopus (or a combo of any two or all three) in a variety of sauces, including Aji Amarillo, a spicy blend of Florida citrus juices, a lime based Traditional sauce, a Coconut water based sauce, and Asian with a touch of soy. Topped with avocado, sweet potato and cob of corn this makes for a light lunch or dinner choice.

The Ceviche Bowl adds rice, mixed lettuces or quinoa base, and the Fresh salads offer options to add fresh fish.

MyCeviche Chicken adobo Tacos

Also popular are the grilled fish, raw tuna and adobo chicken Tacos and Burritos and the newest addition, the Poke Bowls,

MyCeviche Poke Bowls

which are available with marinated tuna, salmon, shrimp or octopus over mixed greens, cilantro quinoa or coconut jasmine rice with any number of toppings ranging from mango, avocado, seaweed, crispy onions, toasted coconut; with delicious house made sauces including creamy togarashi, ponzu shoyu and wasabi sesame.

Poke, a fresh and healthy trend that originated in surf shacks in Hawaii and Southern California continues to gain fans here in Miami, and what better way to detox from the holiday overindulging than with a Poke or Ceviche bowl.

MyCeviche Midtown represents the sixth MyCeviche location for Gorenstein and Duarte who also own fast casual ZUUK Mediterranean Kitchen in Brickell, and George Stone Crab.
