Miami Spice 2017: Brunch Life is the Best Life

miami spice brunch

Welcome to our new MIAbites feature, Monday Spice! Each week we will highlight a menu, a neighborhood or a special Miami Spice "discovery".

Miami Spice is jumping on the brunch bandwagon. This year for the first time, several Miami Spice participating restaurants will be featuring $23 3-course brunch menus. Brunch seems to be everyone’s favorite meal and how can you blame us - food and day drinking? Sounds like a winning combination!

The Miami Spice brunch menus at first glance seem to be quite the deal and we’re excited to check out as many as we possibly can before it’s too late. Click the links to check out the menus for each spot!

Fooq’s

At Fooq’s, a popular downtown spot, that boasts “feel good food” always promises great vibes and even better dishes. You can start your day with a Persian salad, their delicious bucatini carbonara, and end the meal with baked French toast. It’s a fact: you can never go wrong with bucatini carbonara.

Peacock Garden Bistro

Brunch it up in the gorgeous gardens of Coconut Grove at Peacock Garden Bistro. At this yummy spot you’ll start off with a selection of fresh pastries, but make sure you save room for the lobster benedict and the coconut cloud dessert.

Fil’ia by Michael Schwartz at SLS Brickell

Head to Fil’ia for brunch and be ready to devour coffee cakes, soft scramble with cacio e pepe on toast, and chef’s selection of desserts. There’s something magical about that soft scramble.

Bakehouse Brasserie

Bakehouse has easily become one of MIAbites’ favorite brunch spots and Miami Spice is no different. Check out the mixed berry parfait (no, seriously - the homemade granola is to die for), the country benedict with habanero maple sausage, mushroom gravy, on an English muffin, and Pastry Chef Tatiana Vernot’s flourless chocolate cake for dessert.

Bulla Gastrobar in Doral or Coral Gables

This menu makes picking on item hard, because it’s easily one of the biggest brunch menus being offered during Miami Spice. Our ideal brunch would be: Huevos Bulla, then move on to the cochinillo hash made with shredded braised pork, poached egg, breakfast potatoes, garlic confit and finishing the meal with churros and dipping sauces.
