Love at First Bite at Miami Beach Chocolates
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we discovered Miami Beach Chocolates, a new artisan chocolate shop in Surfside.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,

Chocolate, the universal food of love! Thought to be an aphrodisiac and consumed in various forms since the time of the Aztecs, there is no yummier treat than delicious rich, creamy chocolate. Although this tasty confection can be found in any supermarket or drugstore, it is not always easy to come across high-quality artisanal chocolate. Luckily for those in search of something truly special, there is Miami Beach Chocolates.
Miami Beach Chocolates is owned and run by the knowledgeable and charming chocolatier, Eli Schachter. His is a truly family-owned and operated business with two retail locations. The first store, located at 456 W 41st. Street, Miami Beach, was opened ten years ago.
A new shop at 9433 Harding Avenue in Surfside opened two-and-a-half months ago. This new store is reminiscent of a chocolate box - with pretty blue walls and fun, graphic black-and-white wallpaper. But the real “eye candy” is the enticing display of beautiful chocolates that come in both vegan and non-vegan varieties, contain no additives, extenders or preservatives and are all certified Kosher. The chocolates are all hand-made and Eli creates the unique flavor combinations himself, such as the dark chocolate-jalapeno flavor which starts sweet but ends with a satisfying burst of heat.
The truffles, which are beautifully decorated, melt in your mouth and the nut-filled chocolate barks are addictive! Other popular favorites are the chocolate-covered creamy caramel and pecan turtles and the fun holiday-themed novelty pops.
There is even a Valentines-themed Teddy Bear for the one you love or a heart-shaped gift box filled with delicious confections.
While some of the chocolates are produced at the 41st. Street location, the majority are made at the family’s facility in Hollywood, Florida.
Miami Beach Chocolates also offers six flavor varieties of CBD infused chocolates, each containing 20mg of CBD.
In a couple of weeks, Eli plans to begin serving coffee and hot chocolate at his Surfside location making this a perfect go-to spot to have a little daytime pick-me-up or an after-dinner treat. Miami Beach Chocolates caters events (think chocolate fountains with goodies like fruits, pretzels and marshmallows for dipping!), makes customized chocolates for both private and corporate customers and creates beautifully packaged gift baskets and gift boxes for shipping, delivery or in-store purchase.
