Art Basel 2017 is here, and that means the sudden addition of fun pop-ups all over town. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then we’ve got an Art Basel experience that’s meant for you!

Chrome Hearts in the Design District, a store - envisioned by co-owner Laurie Lynn Stark to be a place where fashion and art converge - is designed to be dynamic in its ability to change throughout the year and reinvents itself annually in celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach.

This year, celebrity beauties like Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber, Chrome Hearts will deliver a sweet message, that "love heals and imagination is powerful” through its retail space that will feature an innovative “Chrome Hearts Candy” café concept, limited-edition designs, an upstairs gallery guest curated by Theo Niarchos of the 6817 Gallery in Los Angeles as well as all of the brand’s signature “Objects of Desire."

The candy-colored confectioner’s shop stocked with customized sweets and decorated with works from young artists. Guests can select from artisanal candies created exclusively to experience during Art Basel incorporating Chrome Hearts motifs & the most iconic imagery from their archive. Gourmet coffee, tea, specialty cookies from Bakeology and other treats will be available to enjoy in the outdoor café garden.

Highlights of the Instagram friendly, experiential retail destination will include:

  • Great Wall, a fifteen-foot tall living garden overflowing with native flora
  • “this time, this place” group show featuring works from  artists including Harmony Korine, Andy Warhol and Richard Prince, is based on the theme of Miami from an outside perspective – the raw streets, the intense club culture, the unpredictable tropical weather – all evoking a ferocity of perception.
  • Off-site but equally connected to the soul of Chrome Hearts, the brand has partnered with Miami's David Grutman to extend the “make yourself at home” ethos of the company. Through this special integration, Chrome Hearts and David Grutman’s signature lifestyle experience, “Groot,” features custom boat interiors & accessories including pillows, towels and artwork designed by artist Matt DiGiacomo to adorn the exterior hull.
