Bakehouse Brasserie(CLOSED) Adds Lunch to the Menu
One of our favorite brunch spots, Bakehouse Brasserie, recently launched a new lunch menu just in time for summer. From Wednesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bakehouse is offering a special menu aside from the already delicious all day brunch menu. The new menu features a $10 Classic Cheeseburger along with some favorites new menu items including an Almond Crusted Baked Brie, Portobello Mushroom Burger, Steak Frites Sandwich, Bakehouse Chopped Salad, Tuna Tartare and the Salmon Burger.
The moment Baked Brie was mentioned I immediately made my way to Bakehouse to check it out. I started out with the Tuna Tartare and the Almond Crusted Baked Brie. The tartare was picture perfect and tasted refreshing and delicious. I was a fan of the Mandarin oranges that added a nice pop to the dish. The Baked Brie was also fantastic. I don’t know that I expected it to be a fried coating, but once I cut in and discovered the gooey center - I was in heaven.
Since it was lunch time and life is all about balance, I opted for the Bakehouse Chopped Salad with chicken for lunch. It was just as filling as it was colorful. The salad was composed of bacon, avocado, mango, Point Reyes blue cheese, homestead tomato, romaine, kale, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was exactly what I needed after filling myself with tons of Brie.
Lunch isn’t the only thing being added to the menu at Bakehouse. There’s also a daily happy hour! Happy hour will include $8 specialty cocktails, $7 select wines by the glass, and $5 select draft beers Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 3pm - it’s 5 o’clock somewhere right?
If you’re looking for something semi-healthy and delicious for lunch on the beach, this should be on the top of your list. Don’t forget to say hi to Pastry Chef Tatiana if she’s there and be sure to order one of her amazing desserts!
