Estrella Damm: Culinary Journey in Miami and Broward June 1-30, 2023

A month later and with twice as many restaurants, the Culinary Journey presented by Estrella Damm has begun with the entire month of June focused on pairing Estrella Damm, the beer of Barcelona with the culinary talents of South Florida’s best chefs

The globally recognized program, which launched in Miami in 2014, pairs the cuisines of the region with the iconic Estrella Damm, the beer of Barcelona. The focus is on specially crafted dishes and chef-curated tasting menus that showcase the unique blend of cultures and cuisines, all while savoring a bottle of crisp and refreshing Estrella Damm.

This year, over 70 restaurants across Miami-Dade and Broward County will participate, offering two unique experiences for resident and visitor foodies: The Perfect Pair, in which Estrella Damm is paired with a signature dish from the restaurant, or the Chef’s Tasting, a multi-course meal prepared by the host restaurant’s chef and expertly paired with Estrella Damm.

Just some of the offerings include The Perfect Pair of a Fisherman's Stew for two at Michelin-recognized Bib Gourmand Doya , Arroz pegado, charred scallops, rocoto aioli at La Mar by Gaston Acurio, and the Two Timing Tuna Roll: fresh tuna, tempura flakes, nori, spicy mayo, sriracha at Pubelly Miami Beach and other locations. All are served with a chilled bottle of Estrella Damm.

The Chef’s Tasting Menu is an opportunity to experience a menu selected by individual chefs to highlight their cuisines and ingredients. Among the top choices is Leku, whose 6 course tasting menu by Chef Carlos Garcia at $125 is not to be missed and includes their signature Beet Tartare, Wild Mushroom paella and Josper grilled Australian wagyu picanha.

Other choices include the newly opened, Rum Room, in the original 1920’s Carl Fisher Clubhouse on Collins Canal. Chef Samantha Cruz has created a $48 3 course menu highlighting local Latino flavors of serrano ham, and manchego croquettes and chorizo sliders” frita style”.

And James Beard winning Chef Michelle Bernstein’s award winning spot in Little Havana, Café La Trova with a $47 3 course menu which includes Maine lobster and jamón croquettes and Lechon braised mojo marinated pork shoulder. Chef Michelle’s famous Chocolate Bread pudding with rum-soaked raisins tops this special meal off.
