The French holiday is formally called “La Fête Nationale” and is celebrated each year on July 14. The holiday recognizes and celebrates the storming of the Bastille penitentiary, which ultimately helped usher in the French Revolution. It also represents the overthrow of the tyranny of the French monarchy and King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

Mirabelle Miami

Celebrate Bastille Day at Mirabelle Miami with Les Dames d' Escoffier Miami and enjoy a delicious selection of dishes prepared by Chef George’s B.

For just $50 per person, the 3-course lunch menu will include: Saucisson chaud en brioche, Coq au vin nouilles au beurre and Iles Flottantes caramelisees for dessert.

Their Bastille Day lunch menu is accompanied by complimentary wine provided by Republic National Distributing Company. Mirabelle Miami will also offer various raffles throughout the day.

Bastille Day Soirée at La Côte, Fontainebleau Miami Beach

La Côte, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s swanky, two-story Mediterranean oceanfront restaurant and bar, is hosting a Bastille Day celebration one day early on Saturday, July 13th.

Guests can celebrate la fête nationale by dining, imbibing and enjoying live entertainment featuring French DJ’s, festive dancers and a saxophone player. La Côte’s Moët & Chandon Champagne cabana will allow guests to enjoy samples and giveaways from Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial while taking in the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Fontainebleau’s iconic pool-scape. Le Zoo

Joyeux Quatorze Juillet! Stephen Starr’s Le Zoo at the Bal Harbour Shops will celebrate Bastille Day with French festivities, featuring performances from the French Horn Collective, accordionist Pablo De Vincenzo, human statue Marie Antoinette, mimes and more.

Le Zoo will also feature a special Bastille Day menu in addition to the standard brunch and dinner menu offerings. Menu items will be priced a la carte including Salad Lyonnaise, Salmon Rillettes, Omelette au Fromage, Coq au Vin and Hazelnut Paris Brest.

The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and ends at 11 p.m. giving guests plenty of time to celebrate!

Villa Azur

Villa Azur is celebrating all things French for Bastille Day with a fashionable fête and chef specials that will transport guest to summer in France. On Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th, guests can enjoy chef specials including Foie Gras Simple, fresh terrine, fig chutney and port-pepper jelly; Red White Blue Salade, red lettuce, creme fraiche dressing and blue gorgonzola dulce; and Black Forest Norvegienne, pistachio ice, dark cherry compote, chocolate meringue, and flambé with cognac. For those looking to put on their dancing shoes, Villa Azur will also host their fabulous dinner party on Saturday with live music and French-style dancers.

Delano South Beach

The iconic oceanfront hotel located on Collins Ave, will host a Bastille Day Weekend in partnership with French & Famous July 13-14. Known as the National Day of France and the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille, a turning point of the French Revolution, guests will celebrate with a full weekend of events in honor of the French holiday. Starting off with “LA NUIT DE LA RÉVOLUTION,” (Night of the Revolution) on Saturday, July 13th, guests 21 and over can expect a night filled with performers, DJs, live music, a fashion show and more, from 7PM-1AM. When hunger strikes, a decadent French BBQ will be offered poolside ($55) while a la carte items to satisfy all cravings will be available at Leynia Restaurant.

Families will also have an opportunity to celebrate together on Sunday, July 14th, with "JOUR DE FÊTE,” (Celebration Day), a family-friendly event taking place from 11:30am to 8pm. Families can expect a fun-filled day with activities, such as games and music around the pool, followed by a full brunch buffet priced at $55 for Adults and $25 for kids (Kids under 12- Free Entrance).
