Friday July 10th- Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale South Beach will host a CASAMIGOS Tequila bartending class, in conjunction with its bi-monthly bartending classes. From 7-9 p.m. Regent’s top bartenders will offer a comprehensive introduction to fundamental bartending techniques and etiquette. They will also share first-hand insight about CASAMIGOS Tequila leaving guests with a greater knowledge of cocktail recipes, methodology and the history behind the spirit.  Light appetizers are provided by Dolce Italian to compliment the tastings. Saturday July 11th and Sunday July 12th-  It's the 23rd Mango Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens . Join us for two full days of mango festivities. Our selection of mangos has been collected throughout the tropics and grown here in South Florida. The festival features a variety of mango trees for sale, a fruit market, cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs including the "Mango King", Chef Allen Susser, lectures about growing mangos, kids educational activities, artisan vendors, delicious food and the world's largest mango auction. Wednesday July 15thDevon Seafood + Steak will team up with local favorite Funky Buddha Brewery for BBQ and Beer Pairing feast on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Taking place on Devon’s beautiful waterfront patio, beginning at 7PM, the special one-night only Beer & BBQ tasting event will feature five mouthwatering courses all expertly crafted by Executive Chef Rod Chitikov and perfectly paired with Funky Buddha libations. Wednesday July 15th- Beginning at 7 pm,  db Bistro Moderne Miami invites guests to celebrate the summer with a family-style whole hog and beer dinner featuring Johnathan Wakefield, of J. Wakefield Brewing as the evening’s special guest working with db Bistro sommelier Alan Feldman to pair his craft beers with Chef Jason Pringle’s cuisine. The Whole Hog Feast features a Slow-Roasted Suckling Pig presented tableside and stuffed with pork loin, Swiss chard, confit tomato, and olives. Finish the evening off with DBGB’s signature Baked Alaska flambéed with Grand Mariner, Peach Melba and Black Forest Sundaes. The acclaimed Miami brewery will serve four beers including Pineapple Kolsch, Black Indian Pale Ale, Belgian-Style Triple and Coconut La Nada Russian Imperial Stout. Thursday June 16th- Now in its 27th year, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation  @TOTNSFla is the region’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to ending childhood hunger, and will showcase close to 50 of the hottest restaurants from both Dade and Broward counties, top chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and brewers. The South Beach Chic – Food, Wine & Art-themed benefit will also feature silent and live auctions,and  a beer garden co-curated by Miami Herald food editor Evan Benn and Chef Bret Pelaggi. The annual tasting event will take place from 7PM to 10PM, at Loews Miami Beach, followed by the after party, "Chefs On The Half Shell"  from 10PM to Midnight. General admission tickets are priced at $125 per person. New and Ongoing:

The Cypress Room will be featuring a nightly-changing cocktail and spirits pairing for its 5-course Tasting Menu in a “Bartender's Choice”.  Beginning with light and refreshing Aperitifs (11), Four Rosés blushes with Chef Schwartz’s favorite, featuring rosé wine, Lillet rosé, Dillon’s gin-based rosé liqueur, rosebud and hibiscus flower water and a lemon twist. Lonely Negroni combines Miller’s Westborne gin, Campari, Aperol, JuJube syrup, lemon and orange peel.   Specialty Housemade (14) includes Brewster highlighting the final harvest of the lychee season with vodka or gin, simple syrup, lime and cilantro.  Each day before dinner service our chefs review the dishes with Bartender Christian Carnevale and General Manager Amanda Su who will exercise their smarts and a little creative license to create the perfect pairings. The Sunday Family Table at Scarpetta Miami offers diners the perfect option for Sunday night sustenance.  Created by Chef Scott Conant and Scarpetta Miami Beach chef de cuisine Marlon Rambaran, The Family Table Sunday night feast is especially designed for sharing with family and friends and priced at $45 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. With menu selections changing constantly, each Sunday will offer new specials. The jaw-dropping moment of any Family Table meal will no doubt be when the Timpano – a traditional Italian baked pasta dish served at room temperature and dressed with hot tomato sauce.
