Join celebrity host, Kelly Blanco of NBC 6, at Slow Food Miami’s “Snail of Approval” Tasting Party on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Regarded as Miami’s Freshest Night Out, the annual celebration will be held from 7 PM to 10 PM at The Palms Hotel & Spa, home to farm-to-table concept Essensia Restaurant & Lounge. GET TICKETS HERE.

This year’s evening under the stars is possible thanks to partnerships with The Palms Hotel & Spa, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, JetSet Sounds, Big Cypress, Wicked Dolphin, The Liquid Project, Menu Men Inc., and Brustman Carrino Public Relations. The tasting party will unite dozens of the city’s top chefs, and local growers and producers for a night of tasting while honoring Miami’s food scene. This year, Slow Food Miami will be presenting the Lifetime Snail Award to a special member of the Miami culinary community – James Beard Foundation winner, Chef Michael Schwartz of Michael’s Genuine - for his longtime commitment to sourcing local and support of the Slow Food movement. Additionally, Chef Allen Susser of The Café at Books and Books, is being honored with the Restaurant Snail Influencers Award for being a pioneer in the Slow Food Movement here in Miami. And both chefs are being recognized for their leadership as they mentor young industry professionals in the art of local and sustainable sourcing.

The Slow Food Miami "Snail of Approval" points South Floridians and visitors to food that is good, clean and fair by identifying and honoring producers, purveyors, and artisans who contribute to food and beverage quality, authenticity and sustainability. In its inaugural year (2010), nominations were solicited among Miami-Dade county farmers. Now nominations come from the general public and all nominations are vetted by the Slow Food Miami Snail of Approval Committee.

General admission tickets are $98 per person in advance; $128 per person at the door. A special group ticket promotion is available also – purchase ten tickets for $88 each. Tickets can be purchased here with all event proceeds benefiting Slow Food Miami’s Edible Garden Program. VIP Garden Sponsor tickets are $750 and includes a garden box for a local school and free entry to Freshest Night Out with early admission at 6:30 PM.
