Weekly Nibble: National Rum Day in Miami
National Rum Day was Friday, August 16 and Miami was one of the best places in the U.S.A. to celebrate this National holiday. This week’s MIAbites Weekly Nibble was all about Rum Day celebrations! While you may have missed the “official” celebrations, rest assured that RUM is still flowing at all of the below mentioned watering holes.
Whether you prefer to celebrate with a mojito or daiquiri on Calle Ocho, a Piña colada at the beach, a Hemingway Papa Doble or a dark ‘n’ stormy at your favorite watering hole, or if you have a favorite type (white, dark, spiced, or aged) or brand (Bacardi, Havana Club, Ron Zacapa, etc.), we hope you’ll consider celebrating properly at the following South Florida celebrations:

Beaker & Gray
Wynwood’s favorite watering hole, Beaker & Gray, is the area’s go-to spot for creatively crafted cocktails on National Rum Day or any day. Serving a fun lineup of libations, rum lovers can head to the bar for innovative concoctions created by Bar Director Ben Potts. For the “holiday,” Beaker & Gray has partnered with Papa’s Pilar and Miami Rum Club to create signature one-day-only cocktails.
Rum Day at RWSB in the W Hotel South Beach means starting the evening with a flight of stellar selections. The dinnertime lineup includes half ounce pours of Star Rum, Zaya 12-year and Zacapa 23-year for only $20 from 6:30PM-midnight.
