The Rumbar at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is featuring the House of Spells month-long Halloween pop-up bar from October 1 through November 1 from 3 p.m. until close. Beware as the House of Spells will feature spooky bites and incredible Halloween cocktails, and entertainment. Celebrate the final of House of Spells at the Spooktacular on Friday, November 1 from 6 p.m-10 p.m. the wrap-up party will include Dia de lose Muertos themed face painting, entertainment, and a special a la carte menu. Special Olympics Florida Athlete Awards Gala

On Saturday, October 5, Special Olympics Florida will host their annual fundraiser at the JW Marquis in Downtown Miami. Award-winning ABC news anchors Laurie Jennings and Louis Aguirre will host the event. This year’s theme is “A Taste of La Havana” and the gala is set to transport guests into a lively night of tropical food, Bacardi mojitos and fun along with a live performance by Albita, the Grammy-winning Cuban singer, producer, and composer. In addition, the event will feature a live and silent auction. Portland’s Salt & Straw Comes to Miami

Salt & Straw Ice cream comes to Miami

Salt & Straw, Portland’s iconic ice cream brand, will open soon in Wynwood with a second shop planned for Coconut Grove. Both shops are expected to open Spring 2020. The founders of the family-run brand will host two ice cream socials featuring $1 scoops to benefit different charities depending on the day.On Friday, October 11 from 7 – 11 p.m. the ice cream social will take place at Panther Coffee in Wynwood. All sales will benefit the Lotus House Shelter. On Saturday, October 12 from 1 – 4 p.m., the ice cream social will take place at Park Grove at Coconut Grove. All sales will benefit Coconut Grove Elementary School.

Join Slow Food Miami for their monthly “MEAT” up at Miami Smokers on October 8 from 6-8 p.m. for a $15 donation in advance or $20 at the door, your donation will go directly to the Slow Foods Edible School Garden program.
