Bar Lab and Chef Brad Kilgore partner on Arlo Wynwood

Just when you thought Miami couldn’t get any hotter…the news breaks announcing the opening this Fall of Arlo Wynwood, the first hotel in the edgy arts and dining district and its stellar culinary and cocktail team.

Familiar names on the Miami food and beverage scene include Bar Lab, the award-winning culinary and cocktail collective helmed by Gabe Orta and Elad Zvi and the much-anticipated return of James Beard finalist and award-winning Miami Chef/Partner Brad Kilgore. Chef Brad’s return to familiar territory in Wynwood brings back fond memories of his innovative but COVID-shuttered, Alter.

The rock star team will develop and operate , MaryGold’s, the signature restaurant at the all-new, nine-story hotel at 2217 NW Miami Court. Additional food & beverage outlets will include a cocktail-centric third-floor lounge, as well as a bustling rooftop deck.

"We envisioned the food and beverage program at Arlo Wynwood to be as dynamic as the neighborhood itself, and representative of the best Miami has to offer," said Oleg Pavlov, founder and CEO of Quadrum Global and founder of Arlo Hotels. "By partnering with James Beard finalist Chef Bradley Kilgore to helm the hotel's culinary program, and Bar Lab to develop the concepts for each of the hotel's food & beverage outlets, we are bringing together two of the most celebrated names in the industry, and putting them together under one roof to create the city's most anticipated destination."

Bar Lab has been redefining the hospitality industry ever since 2009, when they took Miami’s cocktail scene to national prominence with the opening of James Beard finalist and three-time “Top 50 Bars in the World” award-winner Broken Shaker. They have continued their formula of creative cocktails and cuisine nationwide in Miami, Miami Beach, NYC, LA ,and Chicago.

A finalist for James Beard “Best Chef: South” and Food & Wine “Best New Chefs in America”, Kilgore started his career at 3-star Michelin Restaurants Alinea & L20 before moving to Miami, where his first stop was Azul at the Mandarin Oriental followed by helming the Jean-Georges Grill at the St. Regis Bal Harbor. In 2015, Kilgore redefined the Miami dining scene when he opened Alter in Wynwood, earning a 4-Star review from The Miami Herald, the only chef in the newspaper’s history to achieve this feat.

Most recently Chef Brad became the Culinary Director of private members-only, The Concours Club with his signature restaurant Verge. At Arlo Wynwood, Kilgore and the team will deliver a robust, flavorful Floridian-inspired brasserie offering a menu that will undoubtedly have Chef Kilgore’s uniquely personal touch while delivering big, bold, approachable flavors and textures.

Arlo Wynwood will open to the public fall 2022 at 2217 NW Miami Court in Wynwood. Details on food & beverage outlets are forthcoming. For additional information visit www.arlohotels.com
