3030 Ocean: Oceanfront Seafood Bistro & Bar in Fort Lauderdale

Sunshine, clear skies, salty seas, and relaxation are what you expect while staying at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. What you may not expect is the fantastic food brought to you by 3030 Ocean, the resort’s oceanfront American seafood bistro and bar.

Led by Executive Chef Adrienne Grenier, a former Chopped champion, 3030 has an exceptional menu, delicious food and many options. Their staff is well trained and knew which items were naturally gluten free and which could be made gluten free for me.

The menu focuses on four (or five) “smaller” plates (dessert not included), which leaves you feeling full, but not overwhelmed. What I enjoyed most about the menu were the unique food pairings, such as the Charred Octopus with marcona almond puree, farro, blistered tomatoes, feta, and arugula.

How To Celebrate Bastille Day In Miami

Bastille Day is a day of celebrations of French culture. It celebrates the end of the French Revolution. Many large-scale public events are held, including a military parade in Paris, as well as communal meals, dances, parties and fireworks. There is a large military parade in Paris in the morning of July 14. Service men and women from various units, including cadets from military schools, the French Navy and the French Foreign Legion, participate in the parade. The parade ends with the Paris Fire Brigade. Military aircraft fly over the parade route during the parade. The French president opens the parade and reviews the troops and thousands of people line the route. Other people spend the day quietly and eat a celebratory meal or picnic with family and close friends.

While we are nowhere near France, we’ve still got plenty of options to do a little celebrating of our own here in Miami.

TALDE Launches New Menu Items & Happy Hour

TALDE Miami Beach is not only known for its eclectic, Mafioso rap culture-esque environment and great playlists, but also the classic Chinese-driven dishes made by chef and entertaining personality, Dale Talde. This month he released a few new menu items that he says are inspired by what he craves when he wakes up at noon after a long night out. New dishes include, Chicken Fried Rice, General Talde’s Chicken, Shrimp Toast, Fried Dumplings and a few others.

We stopped in for dinner (and of course their newly launched happy hour) recently to see what all the hype was about. One bite of the Shrimp Toast – with preserved vegetables and soy vinegar aioli – and we knew we were hooked and ready to eat one of everything on the new menu.
